Breakthrough Grappling brings Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) directly to your workplace to teach workplace essential skills in a fun, memorable, and high-impact way. BJJ is a grappling-based martial art that emphasises control, problem-solving, and resilience, not through striking, but through technique, strategy, and composure.
We’ve developed a range of unique sessions that link skills such trust, communication, adaptability, and leadership with practical BJJ drills in a safe, inclusive environment. These sessions are led by Kyle Brown, a World and European Championship medallist and experienced coach.
This isn’t just team-building, it’s team transformation.
Pilot session:
On 11th May 2025, Breakthrough Grappling delivered its first pilot session, “Trust Me, I’m a Professional,” to a group of 8 participants. Focused on the theme of trust, the session offered a unique, hands-on approach to personal and team development. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

-
Is it safe?Your safety is our top priority. While Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport, all techniques are beginner-friendly, taught slowly, and practiced under close supervision. Coach Kyle is a highly trained expert with first aid certification, ensuring every session is safe, supportive, and accessible for everyone.
-
Do the activities involve physical contact?Yes, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a partner-based activity. You'll be paired with a colleague of a similar size, and we always respect any requests for specific partners. If at any point you're uncomfortable, you're free to opt out—your comfort and confidence are always our priority.
-
Do we need to be physically fit?Not at all. We welcome all fitness levels and will tailor the pace to suit you. All we ask is that you’re medically cleared by your doctor to take part in physical activity, so you can join in safely and confidently.
-
What if someone has a pre-existing injury or medical condition? If someone has a pre-existing injury or medical condition, please consult your doctor before participating. If you have been cleared by your doctor to participate but still require special considerations, let us know in advance so we can make necessary accommodations to ensure your safety and comfort during the session.
